Assuming Thrall's still got the same tutorial mission, just imagine how those events look from his perspective: flee the war-torn Eastern Kingdoms, land and get attacked by a Sea Witch, finally find land only to be directly attacked by freaking demons. Assuming the high elves are a bigger part of the narrative, you could also use Stormwind as the new source for Garithos-like figures, given that the nation is the most bitter about the elves leaving, these Alliance officials would then be frequent thorns in the side during the Alliance campaign and set the stage for an Alt-WoW. I do like the HE-NE narrative and all the issues that come from it. (AKA: The sour point of just leaving the Alliance following the Second War and it harming the attempts to rally against the Legion. I mean Gilneas went beyond, and built a wall to keep the world out. (We don't know too much of her living life, she did let Nathanos Marris into the Farstriders and believing in the need for tolerance with the rest of the world.) But you know.) Sylvanas as the main Alliance character as someone who both likes the High Elves (And not a fan of how they just keep getting screw over.) and of Sylvanas.
